Zion Naperville’s VBS 2023
Welcome to Zion Lutheran Church’s Vacation Bible School site! We invite you to join us this summer for Growing in God’s Garden. Your children will embark on a journey of a lifetime — learning about the Good News Jesus brings and making new VBS friends.
VBS at Zion is different.  We don’t use a generic pre-packaged program.  We write develop our own materials that will be best suited to our congregation, so that VBS flows naturally into our worship and other educational programs.
At VBS your child will learn the great stories of faith from the Holy Scriptures, learn the liturgy and hymnody that have strengthened Christians for generations, build friendship with kids their ages while being mentored by mature Christians, and have a lot of fun, too!

FAQs
What ages do you serve? Zion Lutheran’s VBS is open to children ages 3-10. Children younger than three may attend if accompanied by an adult.

What’s included in VBS? Worship, Bible Stories, Music classes, Crafts, Games, and Snacks.

How are classes determined? Children will be assigned to same-age groups. Class size will be taken into consideration when assignments are made. Children will be separated into preschool and elementary school groups with age-appropriate activities that may vary.

My child has special needs. Is s/he able to attend? While we do our best to accommodate all children with any types of medical concerns, we are staffed with volunteers. Therefore, if your child has special needs, please note this on your registration form. If your child requires a parent or guardian to stay to ensure the best experience possible, accommodations will be made. Someone from registration will contact you to discuss how we can best serve your child and include him/her in the fun of VBS.

Is there a closing ceremony for me to attend? On Friday, July 15, we will have a closing service at 11:00 am. All parents, siblings, grandparents, and friends are welcome to attend.  The service will be streamed live on our Facebook page for those who cannot attend in person.  The VBS choir will also sing for our 9:30a worship service on Sunday, July 16, and you are welcome to attend our Church Picnic after the service.

When should I register? Please register as soon as possible so that we know how many students to prepare for.
